Hello,
we have computers without a domain runnning WindowsXP. I notice that all the WindowsXP are still red in Lansweeper. The connectiontester show me that remote registry access is not possible. The service still runs, account is set up properly, firewall disabled, dns checked. But it dont work.
I dig a litte bit deeper and found that the easy folder sharing is enabled on the WindowsXP computers. This prevent remote computer to authentificate properly. The solution was simple: disable the easy access. To do this go to system control, folder settings, 2nd tab and remove the checkmark. Now all my computers becomes blue. Problem solved.

Thanks for figuring this out, I'm sure it will help other users. What was the exact error you were getting?

I use the testconnection.exe and get:
Ping test OK
Remote registry test FAILED Der Netzwerkpfad wurde nicht gefunden. (The networkpath was not found)
Remote WMI access test FAILED Zugriff verweigert (Ausnahme von HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED))
Remote \\f-109\c$ access test FAILED
If you try to open the existing c$ share on the remote computer you get a login requester were the username is grey out and contains something like guest (I use german language systems). You only can enter a password. This all indicte that the easy share is enambled.
Regards Andreas
