I had some trouble with 2003 server Sp1 Sp2 server whiche are in the DMZ, the firewall is not the windows internal One.

My problems was that lsclient is announcing well on the lsservice server (port 9524) , lsservice try to connect as well with open ports 135 and 445 but my wmi port were in dynamic mode (over 1024) and so the firewalll wasn't configured.

Si I tried to fixed the endpoint port on wmi, but the manipulation isn't so easy here the kb fropm microsoft :897571

And now everything is ok for me.
